01/2322017 - Duncanville Fieldhouse

Thirth-five participants showed up for the first tryout session of the year. Players drove in from as far north as Tulsa, Oklahoma, far South as Waco and far east as Tyler. The youngest player was an amazing third grade guard and the tallest player was as tall as 6'1. The tryout feature a TALENTED group of 2021s. Highly ranked Nyah Wilson, who has been filling up the stat sheets this middle school season, as well as the big body bruising guard Mya Williams. Destiny Winzer provided the muscle for this session and Z'Nay Thomas provided jazz. Braileigh Deaver future is so bright, as she's so fundamentally sound and will grow into her body. Journey Harmstead (7th grader from OK) trip from Tulsa was well woth the trip, this lefty caught the eye of our staff.

In the end, it was a great days work and we can see the potential in all the players. The youngest player reminded the staff of Endyia Rogers (5'6 Soph PG at Bishop Lynch) because she was Endyia size and age when she came to the program. Now, Endyia is one of the top guards in the state of Texas and in the country.

Last but not least Chennedy Carter (2017 McDonald All-American and Texas A&M signee) stop by to speak to the participants on HOW HARD she worked to become one of the top players in the country. She spoke about her experience with USA Basketball and her upcoming trip to the McDonald All-American game in late March.

As we always say, THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, OH THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT
